Not All Needs Are Equal, So We Get Specific…

What Our Additional Giving Looks Like

  • Sustinance

All our families need help with groceries. In a world where feeding yourself is becoming a luxury, any extra help is appreciated. You can either send a food basket or choose a family sponsorship for $150, which includes food and other benefits. We strongly recommend a full sponsorship, but even a food donation will be used for a family, regardless of location. We have people ready to shop and provide relief with extra donations.

  • Household Appliances/Utilities.

Sometimes doing humanitarian work can feel to the people you are helping, like you only show up to do a task and then disappear, without staying connected. However, after our initial visit, we found out that some families needed more assistance. So we took action. We managed to provide a fridge for a family who didn't have one among other household help that was needed for other families. Additionally, we search for individuals who require aid with paying their utility bills or medications, or any other household essentials they might need. The goal is to help, not make ourselves feel better about life, though that is a bonus.

  • Hygiene and Clothing Items

We have seen how shoes and clothes can make a big difference in certain areas. Some children have never owned a pair of shoes. We consistently collect gently used clothes and shoes, and we also accept new ones. In our two recent trips, we have delivered almost 400 pounds of clothes and shoes, and all of them are given to families. They enjoy the chance to "shop." However, when families are facing financial difficulties, essentials like toothbrushes and decent clothing are not their main focus. We want to address that by gathering as many clothes, shoes, and hygiene items as possible.
